Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Easylife collects, why, and your rights under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).
1. Data we collect
Account data (name, email, phone), booking data (address, service details, payment status), optional household profile data you choose to share (family size, children count, housing type — used only to personalize offers, with your consent), and communication history (including WhatsApp messages when you contact us there). For service professionals we additionally collect identity and eligibility documents (Emirates ID, visa/permit) for verification, and live location only while travelling to a job.
2. Why we process it
To provide and improve the service: matching professionals to bookings, processing payments, sending booking notifications, quality assurance (including before/after photo review), fraud prevention and legally required record-keeping. Personalized recommendations and marketing messages are only sent with your consent and can be switched off at any time.
3. Payment data
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch Easylife servers. We store only payment status and references.
4. Sharing
We share booking-relevant data (name, address, service details) with the assigned professional, payment data with Stripe, and messaging data with Meta (WhatsApp) when you use WhatsApp. We do not sell personal data.
5. Retention
Account and booking records are kept while your account is active and thereafter as required by UAE commercial and tax law. KYC documents of professionals are kept for the duration of the partnership plus the legally required period. You can request deletion of your account at any time.
6. Your rights
Under the PDPL you have the right to access, correct, and delete your data, to withdraw consent, to object to processing, and to data portability. Use the contact details below or the erasure option in your account settings. We respond within the statutory period.
7. Security
Data is stored on access-controlled infrastructure with encryption in transit, row-level access rules and audited administrative access. KYC documents live in a private storage area accessible only to authorized staff.
